Rowe - Where the air is clean, it's so quiet at night in the winter your ears hurt from listening so intently. The nights are completely dark except for the stars - millions of them. The smells are of nature, earthy, warm. The winters may be longer, the snow deeper, the house much colder but the trade is exhaust, the sound of cars, planes landing over your house and so much light pollution that you only see the major stars. I'll take Rowe any day and some day I will be there for good.

Spent most of the first weekend in November cutting, splitting
and stacking wood. Bill measuring to find out how much we have in.
A little over 5 cords in the shed, more outside and underneath
the barn. Thanks Mike for all your help.
Mike brought over the rototiller to turn under the garden. Very sad :0(
